Death Note Mystery Date Game

Okay, with all this 10th Anniversary excitement, I thought about a game that came out when I was a kid that meant the world to me, that I played with constantly. It was called Mystery Date and here’s what it was like:

Yea, I know..lame yes? But what if we jazzed it up a bit? The object of the game was to play and collect cards to prepare you for a date. If you got all the pieces for going to the beach, and then landed on the “Open the Door” square and the boy behind the door was the one going to the beach, you won. If it was one of the others, (going bowling, to the prom, skiing) you would just close the door and keep playing until you got another chance at it. If you picked the “Dud” some trashy looking guy, you lost the game.

Now…how about we Death Note it? There were four guys plus the dud, so let’s make ‘em L, Light, Matt, Mello and make Demigawa the Dud. Of course you can change it up to your favorite 4 guys. Now the cards you ‘d have to collect for each one…there were three items you had to collect before you had a chance for the door. How about for L it would be…oh a lollipop, cup of coffee, and a strawberry. Once collected you’d try to get to the square and your chance at the door and hope L was behind it when you opened it up? See what I mean?

For Light maybe it would be the Death Note, a bag of chips, a pen (or hair gel…LOL). Any other ideas for either items or the guys you’d like to play for?

What weather type do you think most correlates to the main characters of Death Note and why?

For example:

L = slight rain, foggy because I feel sad whenever I think about him

Light = thunder, lightning, probably a storm because there seems to be a lot of turmoil within him

Matsuda = sunny, because he's very joyful and always has a positive attitude

*The Hunger Games is a game in which a group of people compete and the main goal is to kill the other competitors. It involves a lot of stealth, strength and intelligence as the people have to scrounge for food and kill the others without being attacked.
